Leicester City are right to sell Wesley Fofan as they don’t want to be stuck with a sulky player.
This is the opinion of Jermain Pennant, who discussed Chelsea’s offer to sign the 21-year-old defender.

It looks like Fofana will finally get his wish to go to Stamford Bridge for big money.

The quarterback is a popular figure at King Power Stadium, but rumors seem to have gone to his head.
According to talkSPORT, the Blues have agreed to sign the French starlet for a fee of £70m plus allowances, a move likely to be implemented in the coming days.
Fofana has been a top transfer target for Thomas Tuchel’s side this summer and with Chelsea already receiving several rejected offers, Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers has admitted that the defender has turned his head as a result of the speculation.
While a move to Stamford Bridge now seems likely, ex-Liverpool winger Pennant believes the last thing Leicester would want right now is to be stuck with a disgruntled player.
Speaking on the Gameday Countdown, Pennant said, “They should sell him. They have to sell it, because if it’s in the wrong place when this deal is made, it won’t be taken the first time.
“His head is not going to get better, especially if there is no movement.
“He will pout all the way and Leicester will lose a player and they will have no money.

Rodgers and Lester had no choice but to accept the offer so as not to be stuck with the unfortunate player, says Pennant.

For Fofana, the hope will be that the move will be completed without any belated issues.
“What the club had to do was talk to the player and find out where his head is.
“They can’t hold him for ransom because he’ll lose his head and won’t do you any good in the future, and then you’ll lose a lot of money that you can replace that player with.”
Jason Cundy added: “Fans are of the opinion that you can put him on standby and say, ‘Well, he signed the contract,’ but all that can be forgotten.
“The reality is that your £70m or £80m player value will only drop if you don’t play with him. Player value will drop and money is everything!”
