On their website, Ambrosini states that they work hard to source the finest Italian ingredients to ensure every dish tastes authentic and takes you to “taste buds on a tour of Italy.” Their pizza is inspired by the traditional pizza you’ll find in the Mediterranean country, using homemade Ambrosini dough, which is thinner and more crispy.
Their lasagna is homemade fresh and daily, including layers of egg pasta, finely chopped beef stew and béchamel sauce. Other items on the menu include seafood ravioli, risotto, beef stroganoff and various Italian desserts.
The restaurant has received TripAdvisor’s “Certificate of Excellence” for 2014-2019 and will also boast a Travellors’ Choice Award from 2021. Yesterday (Sunday, August 28) Ambrosini’s celebrated its 10th anniversary of opening and thanked the customers. for their support and customs over the years.”
One satisfied customer reached out to TripAdvisor to leave a five-star review and a summary of their experience at the restaurant. It said: ‘First visit to this little gem away from the center of Blackpool.
Small but quaint, authentic, very relaxed without the noise and mania of other Italians I might mention. Nice friendly staff, freshly prepared food.
“The homemade chicken liver pate was just amazing. Superb breaded mozzarella in a delicious tomato sauce.
“A huge portion of unearthly lasagna. And amazing penne pasta with tons of flavors and aromas.
“Definitely worth a visit even if you are in the center of Blackpool. Take the tram to Starr Gate… it’s just a short walk down Squires Gate Lane. We will DEFINITELY be back. Thanks to everyone at Ambrosini’s. “
Another five-star review read: “After some deliberation on which Italian to choose, we chose Ambrosinis – and are very happy we did. Four friends went out for food, the owner is very nice and with a smile, the food is delicious and very reasonable. Don’t fault it and will definitely be back soon.”
