The end of the NASCAR Cup Series season will have to wait another day. Rain on Saturday delayed the start of the Coke Zero Sugar 400 until Sunday, meaning riders have until morning to prepare for the race that will decide the last two playoff spots.
Fourteen riders sealed their places with wins and although Kurt Busch finished 15th, he will not be in the playoffs due to a concussion. Ryan Blaney and Martin Truex Jr. are the only two drivers who can qualify for the playoffs on a points basis, but if a new driver wins at Daytona International Speedway, then tiebreaks could decide who makes the playoffs. -off.
Blaney needs to approach the race with some confidence. He was the winner of the 2021 Coke Zero Sugar 400. Truex never won a race, although they finished second three times.
