Devin Ratray, 45-year-old actor, best known for his role in Alone at homeis under investigation for sexual assault in 2017.
According to CNN, Lisa Smith accused Devin Ratray of drugging and assaulting her in his Manhattan apartment. Smith reported the incident shortly after it occurred. However, she accused the NYPD of being uncooperative at the time, which discouraged her from filing charges.
According to Lisa Smith, she was a guest at Ratray’s apartment, but passed out after he allegedly drugged her. She told authorities that the actor subsequently physically abused her.
She told CNN:
“I remember waking up and not being able to move. I couldn’t really open my eyes, but I could hear what was happening and feel what was happening. I knew the other two people had left and I was still on the couch.”
Smith accused the NYPD of not taking her allegations seriously. She said the officers were useless as they discouraged her at the time from continuing to investigate the case.
According to People News, the NYPD denied Smith’s allegations. In an official press release, they stated that at the time, the victim made the choice not to file charges.
The department said in a statement:
“The NYPD takes incidents of sexual assault and rape very seriously and encourages anyone who has been a victim to file a police report so we can conduct a comprehensive investigation and offer support and services to survivors.”
The case is still under investigation. Devin Ratray has not yet been formally charged.

Devin Ratray, born in New York, is an actor who started his career at the age of nine. The New York Post reported that Ratray pleaded not guilty to a domestic violence case in 2021. In October, he will again appear in court on charges of domestic violence.
