“I really have no words and I can’t explain how I feel right now. I only know that I am very happy about this victory, and I hope to develop it, ”a statement made by Lintoi after her feat.

In July, she won gold and opened the Indian medal tally on the third day of the Asian Cadet and Junior Judo Championships held in 2022 in Bangkok.

Lintoy won her gold medal in the 63 kg cadet category. She is considered one of India’s brightest prospects on the judo mat. Lintoy first showed glimpses of her talent when she won gold at the 2018 National Junior Championships.

As part of the IIS judo program since 2017, she has been on numerous study tours under the guidance of head coach Mamuka Kizilashvili, including training camps at the University of Tsukuba, in Japan, and also in Georgia. Lintoy weighs 57 kg with a height of 159 cm. She was born in 2006 on 11th April.

She was born in Mayang Imphal, about 25 km from the state capital Imphal, and is a Hindu by religion.

In November 2021, Lintoy won the gold medal at the National Championships held in Chandigarh. The Sports Authority of India (SAI) on Friday took note of the outstanding achievement of the young athlete.
